Roselea Computer Program

At Roselea ICT is used across the Curriculum areas to:

  • Develop written communication skills (using Internet Explorer and the Department of Education and Training  Portal and email facilities offered there, Microsoft Office and Microsoft FrontPage).
  • Develop student information skills (using prepared Internet sites as well as the use of search engines, CD’s and online databases).
  • Develop student thinking and organisation skills (using all aspects of the Microsoft Office software, Kidspiration, KidPix and Internet based software).
  • Develop a wide variety of student presentation skills including multimedia (using Microsoft Office software, Internet Explorer, Kidspiration, Movie Maker and Photo Story) and involving the use of digital cameras and digital video cameras.
  • Allow students to practise and extend skills in key learning areas such as literacy and numeracy and to practise and improve their keyboard skills.
  • Allow students to publish their work to the wider school community using the school intranet and their own individual web pages.
