Individual Educational Programs

• Specialised individual programs for students with Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida and other physical disabilities.
• Students accepted from 4 years of age
• Highly qualified Special Education teachers and teachers’ aides

Therapy Activities

• A specialist Physical Education teacher
• Private therapy services and Conductive Education training available on request
• ‘Riding for the Disabled’
• Hydrotherapy
• Dance or Music Therapy
  

Specialist Services

School Counsellor

• Advises and assists parents on appropriate educational placement for their child with a physical disability 
• Available for general counselling for Support Unit students and their families
• Provides cognitive assessments and standardised testing on referral from parents and staff
• Advises and assists in procuring appropriate secondary placement when students’ primary school years are complete
  

Consultative services for Spastic Centre clients include:

• Physiotherapy
• Occupational therapy
• Speech therapy
• Psychological assessment
• Off-site support for students and families
